Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Notification Tracker & Alarms (the “App”) handles information. The App is published under the name AMSofts by Ashkan Mobayen Khiabani, an individual developer based in Türkiye (“AMSofts”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@amsofts.com.

In short: the App is designed so that your notification history, alarms and settings stay on your device. We do not run a server that receives your notifications, we do not have user accounts, and we do not sell your data. A few Google services built into the App (advertising, crash reporting, billing and sign-in for backups) process limited technical data, as described below.

1. Information the App stores on your device

To do its job, the App reads the notifications that other apps on your phone post, and keeps the following on your device only, in a private database inside the App’s storage:

  • Notification history: for each notification the App logs, the name and icon of the app that posted it, the sender or conversation name, the title and text of the message, and the time it arrived. Notifications can contain personal information about you and about the people who write to you, such as names, messages and photos shown in the notification.
  • Your alarms and groups: the rules you create (the app, the senders, the words, the sound, and the options you pick) and the groups they belong to.
  • Settings and preferences: theme, language, history retention period, blacklist, app protection setting, and similar choices.
  • Sounds you add: audio files you select as alarm sounds are copied into the App’s private storage.
  • Subscription status: whether Notification Tracker Pro is active and when it expires, so that the App can unlock Pro features.

This information is not uploaded to us. We cannot see it, read it, or recover it for you. It is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the App’s storage.

2. Permissions the App asks for and why

Permission / accessWhy the App needs it
Notification access (notification listener)The core feature. It lets the App see notifications posted by other apps, record them in your history, match them against your alarms, and optionally dismiss them. You grant this in Android settings and can revoke it at any time.
Post notificationsTo show the alarm notification and other notices from the App.
Do Not Disturb accessSo that an alarm you marked “ignore Do Not Disturb” can ring while Do Not Disturb is on. The App never changes your Do Not Disturb settings on its own.
Full-screen intent and foreground serviceTo open the alarm screen and keep the alarm sound playing while the phone is locked or the screen is off.
Vibrate and audio settingsTo vibrate and to play the alarm at the volume you chose.
Biometric / device lock (optional)If you turn on App Protection, Android’s own biometric prompt asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock. The App receives only a success or failure result. It never has access to your biometric data.
Files you chooseWhen you back up or restore, you choose the file or folder through Android’s file picker. The App only accesses what you select.

The App does not use your contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS or call log.

3. Information that leaves your device

We do not receive your notification history, alarms or settings. The only information that leaves your device does so through the third-party services in the next section, and for the purposes described there. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

4. Third-party services

The App includes the following services provided by Google. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

ServicePurposeData involved
Google AdMobShows ads in the free version of the App.Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Where required by law, you are asked for consent. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Pro subscribers do not see ads.
Firebase CrashlyticsCollects crash reports so we can find and fix bugs.Crash stack traces, device model, operating system version, App version, and an installation identifier. It does not include your notification content.
Google Play BillingHandles purchases and subscriptions of Notification Tracker Pro.Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment card details. The App receives purchase status and expiry information from Google Play to unlock Pro features.
Google Sign-In (Credential Manager)Used only when you use Backup & Restore, to identify your Google account on the device.Your Google account email address is read on your device to create the encryption key for your backup file. It is not sent to us.

5. Backups

  • In-app Backup & Restore (Pro): only when you start it, the App writes your history, senders, alarms, groups and package list to a file at a location you choose. The file is compressed and encrypted (AES-256) with a key derived from your Google account email. We do not receive or store this file; you are responsible for keeping it safe. To restore, you select the file and sign in with the same Google account.
  • Android Auto Backup: the App allows Android to back up only its settings file to your Google account (for example, your theme and language), so they can return when you reinstall the App. Your history and alarms are excluded from Android Auto Backup. This backup is handled by Google under your Google account’s settings, and you can turn it off in Android’s backup settings.

6. Retention and deletion

Your history stays on your device until it is deleted. You can delete individual items, clear history, or set an automatic retention period in the App’s settings. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes all data held by the App on the device. Backup files you created are yours and stay where you saved them until you delete them.

Crash reports and advertising data held by Google are retained according to Google’s policies, which we do not control.

7. Security

Your data is stored in the App’s private storage, which other apps cannot read on a normal, unmodified Android device. You can add App Protection so that the App asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock when it opens. Backup files are encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because your notification history is stored on the device, anyone who can unlock the device, or use a rooted or compromised device, may be able to access it. Please protect your device accordingly.

8. Your rights and choices

Because the App keeps your data on your own device, you control it directly: you can view, search, export (through Backup & Restore) and delete it in the App, and you can revoke Notification Access at any time in Android settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal data we hold, including under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, and the California Consumer Privacy Act. These include the right to know whether data about you is processed, to access, correct or delete it, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Since we hold very little personal data about you, most requests will concern data that is on your device or that is held by Google. If you believe we hold personal data about you, write to support@amsofts.com and we will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law.

Where we rely on legal bases under the GDPR: processing on your device is carried out to provide the App you asked for (performance of a contract); crash reporting is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the App stable; and advertising is based on your consent where the law requires it.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has used the App in a way that you believe involves personal data sent to us, contact us at support@amsofts.com. In some countries the minimum age for digital services is higher than 13, and in that case you must meet the higher age to use the App.

10. International transfers

Google may process advertising, crash and billing data on servers in countries other than your own, including the United States. Google applies its own safeguards for such transfers. We do not transfer any other personal data because we do not receive it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the App adds a feature or when laws or Google Play requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the App or in the Google Play listing. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
