The alarm doesn't sound in Do Not Disturb. Why?

Do alarms go off in Do Not Disturb? They can, if two switches are on: Ignore Do Not Disturb in Settings > Alarms and on the alarm itself. Check the full list.

Check these in order

  1. Settings > Alarms > Ignore Do Not Disturb is on. This is required in addition to the setting on the alarm.
  2. The alarm itself has Ignore Do Not Disturb on (or its group does).
  3. Alarm Volume in Settings > Alarms isn't set too low.
  4. Notifications are allowed for the app (Settings > General Settings > Notifications for alarms).
  5. The phone isn't stopping the app in the background (see "How to stop your phone from closing Notification Tracker").
