Notification access turned off by itself. What can I do?

Android can switch off notification access after an update or when it stops the app. Turn it back on and allow background activity.

Steps

  1. Open Android Settings and search for Notification access.
  2. Switch Notification Tracker on.
  3. Open the app and allow Background activity in General Settings.

Why it happens

  • A phone update or a battery saver can stop the app and drop its notification access.
  • Some "cleaner" or "optimizer" apps also switch access off. Exclude Notification Tracker from them.
