An alarm is a rule that says: "when a notification from this app, from this sender, containing these words arrives, do this."
What an alarm can do
- Play a ringtone or your own sound, vibrate, or stay silent.
- Ring even when Do Not Disturb is on.
- Dismiss the notification from your panel, while keeping a copy in History (Pro).
- Skip saving the notification to History.
Example
Silence your phone at night, but create an alarm for messages from your family in your messaging app, with a loud ringtone and Ignore Do Not Disturb on. Everything else stays quiet.
